Cresciuto calcisticamente in patria nel Maccabi Petah Tikva, Solomon si è affermato a livello europeo con la maglia dello Shakhtar Donetsk, diventando uno dei prospetti più interessanti del club ucraino prima dello stop forzato dovuto alla guerra. Dopo una breve parentesi al Fulham, il passaggio agli Spurs rappresentava il salto definitivo in un top club di Premier League, frenato però da continui problemi fisici.
