"Trattativa andata peggio nella mia carriera? Berbatov alla Juve, nell’incredibile estate 2012. Grazie a Patrice Evra, mio storico assistito e compagno del bulgaro nel Manchester United, negli ultimi giorni di mercato ero riuscito a mettere in piedi la trattativa con la Juventus. Avevamo fatto tutto e mandato un aereo privato a Monaco di Baviera per prelevare Berbatov e condurlo a Torino. Berbatov, però, è salito su un altro areo: direzione Londra. In aeroporto ha cambiato idea e ha scelto il Fulham. Una cosa del genere l’aveva già combinata tra City e United. E anche con Corvino, che giovanissimo lo aveva preso per il Lecce."
